World Poker Tour unveils packed 2023 live event schedule across North America

The World Poker Tour (WPT) has revealed its schedule for live events across North America until the end of the year. Season XIX will continue with multiple high-profile stops, marking a return to in-person play after a difficult period. Officials have expressed optimism as restrictions ease and tournaments resume. The first major event on the calendar is the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Tampa main event, running from June 18 to June 22. This will be followed by the WPT Venetian in Las Vegas, scheduled for July 2 through July 7.

Later in July, the WPT Choctaw Casino Resort main event takes place in Durant, Oklahoma, from July 23 to July 27. The tour then moves to Jacksonville, Florida, for the WPT Bestbet Poker Simulcast & Racing main event, held between August 27 and August 31. Adam Pliska, CEO of the WPT, noted the tour’s growing momentum as pandemic-related restrictions lift across North America. Angelica Hael, VP of Global Tour Management, thanked players and casino partners for their support during a challenging year. She also shared her excitement about the return of live poker within the WPT, highlighting the enthusiasm from both participants and organisers.

The WPT’s updated schedule confirms a busy second half of 2023, with key stops in Florida, Oklahoma, Nevada, and beyond. Players can now prepare for a full slate of tournaments as the tour builds on its recovery. Registration and further details for each event are expected to be announced soon.
