Minsk's Iconic Victoria Cherry Casino Declared Bankrupt After Years of Debt
The Economic Court of Minsk has officially declared Victoria Cherry bankrupt. Once a top entertainment spot in the city, the casino faced mounting debts that led to its collapse. Its owner filed for insolvency after years of financial struggle. The casino first opened in 2015, taking over the site of the former Victoria casino on Pobediteley Prospekt. At its height, it featured 17 gaming tables, three roulette wheels, and around 50 slot machines. Visitors could play American roulette, poker, blackjack, and various other games.
By the time of its closure, the company’s debts had reached nearly 2.3 million rubles. Yet its remaining assets were valued at less than 380,000 rubles. The financial shortfall left no viable path for recovery, prompting the court’s bankruptcy ruling. The shutdown marks the end of an era for a venue once seen as one of Minsk’s most prestigious entertainment destinations. With debts far exceeding its assets, the casino’s operations have now ceased permanently. The court’s decision confirms the final closure of Victoria Cherry.
