Norwegian poker pro's insane €200K bluff stuns EPT Malta with miracle flush

The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) stop in Malta has wrapped up after days of intense play. Norwegian player Tom-Aksel Bedell secured a €200,550 payout for finishing fifth, but one dramatic hand against Tom Vogelsang became the talk of the tournament. The clash happened with 17 players left in the competition. Vogelsang, in the big blind, held A♠ 10♠ and three-bet to 240,000 after Bedell raised to 60,000 from the small blind. Bedell then four-bet to 560,000, prompting Vogelsang to go all-in for 1.4 million.

Bedell called—despite holding the weaker **7♦ 4♦**—and the flop landed **2♦ 6♦ 8♦**, giving him the nut flush. Vogelsang, drawing dead, had no chance to recover. Commentator Benjamin 'Spraggy' Spragg later called it *'one of the most incredible suck outs you are ever likely to see.'* The tournament ultimately crowned Tomasz Brzezinski as champion, taking home €631,632 for first place.

Bedell’s deep run ended in fifth place, earning him €200,550. The hand against Vogelsang, however, remained a defining moment of the event. Meanwhile, Brzezinski’s victory marked the close of another high-stakes EPT stop in Malta.
