Las Vegas cancels Predict 2026 conference amid gaming regulatory concerns

Aria Resort in Las Vegas has cancelled the Predict 2026 conference, which was set to take place in December. The decision follows concerns from MGM Resorts about potential regulatory issues with Nevada’s gaming authorities. The event was originally planned for December 7 to 9 at the Aria. However, MGM Resorts, the parent company of Aria, raised worries over possible licensing conflicts with the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The board has recently taken enforcement action against prediction market platforms like Polymarket. It is also involved in an ongoing legal dispute with Kalshi, another betting-related firm. Given the tightly regulated nature of Nevada’s gaming industry, MGM opted to remove the conference from its schedule. Predict 2026 will no longer proceed at Aria. The cancellation highlights the strict oversight in Nevada’s gaming sector, where compliance with licensing rules remains a priority. Organisers have not yet announced alternative plans for the event.
