Pennsylvania casinos hit record revenue in April 2026 despite rising fines

Pennsylvania’s gaming industry saw strong growth in April 2026, with overall revenue rising by 6.5% compared to the same month last year. Several casinos reported significant increases, while regulators also imposed fines on operators for compliance failures. Three casinos stood out for their revenue surges. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows recorded a 27.95% jump, bringing in $34,744,726. Hollywood Casino York followed with a 30.60% increase, reaching $13,367,774. The biggest rise came from Bally’s Pennsylvania, where revenue soared by 75.14% to $5,181,148.

iGaming slots also performed well, with revenue climbing 15.17% in April. Sports wagering saw an even sharper rise, up 38% to $58,953,160. Regulators took action against several operators for breaches. YFS Sub LLC, part of Yahoo Fantasy Sports, was fined $50,000 for failing to notify and gain approval for a change in control of its licence. Wind Creek Bethlehem faced a $50,000 penalty after weak Know Your Customer checks allowed fraudulent withdrawals. Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment received an $80,000 fine for permitting underage gambling and employing unlicensed staff with access to personal data. The company was also ordered to add eight individuals to its Involuntary Exclusion Lists.

The April figures highlight both strong financial performance and regulatory scrutiny in Pennsylvania’s gaming sector. While casinos and online platforms saw revenue growth, fines for compliance failures signal ongoing enforcement efforts by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
