Queensland couple wins $1M Gold Lotto jackpot in stunning surprise

A couple from Upper Coomera, Queensland, has won AU$1 million in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw. The life-changing prize came as a shock, with the woman initially believing they had won just AU$1,000. Their ticket, bought at a local newsagent, matched all the winning numbers in the 4485 draw.

The winning numbers for the draw were 1, 2, 18, 21, 24, and 36, with supplementary numbers 14 and 27. The couple was one of five division one winners across Australia, securing a share of AU$1,008,162.52. Their ticket was purchased at News Extra Coomera, located in Shop B1 at Coomera Square.

In addition to the top prize, 62 players won AU$10,003.45 each for matching five main numbers and one supplementary number. Winning entries came from Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, and Victoria. The couple described the win as perfectly timed and a tremendous blessing. They plan to use the money for home improvements, turning their unexpected fortune into practical upgrades.
