Fairmont St Andrews Unveils Zephyr Sports Bar with Star-Studded Launch
Fairmont St Andrews has opened its new Zephyr Sports Bar, adding another dining option to the luxury resort. The launch took place at the end of January 2023, drawing athletes, performers, and guests to the event. Set across 520 acres just outside St Andrews, the five-star property already boasts two golf courses, 211 rooms, and top-tier leisure facilities.
The bar’s opening event featured a menu of vegetarian and vegan dishes, including Moroccan spiced falafel and sweetcorn & pepper sliders. Guests enjoyed live music from Yasmin Worrall, a local singer-songwriter, while sampling the new offerings.
Among the attendees were Scottish Olympic medallists, Team Muirhead—reigning world curling champions—as well as rugby internationals, wheelchair racers, and Scotland’s most decorated athlete. The Zephyr Sports Bar itself combines stylish decor with plant-based food and drink options, catering to a range of dietary preferences. Fairmont St Andrews forms part of Fairmont’s global collection of over 75 hotels, all known for their attentive service and focus on local cuisine. The brand operates under AccorHotels, a leading travel and lifestyle group with more than 4,500 properties worldwide.
The Zephyr Sports Bar now joins the resort’s existing dining and leisure amenities. Its plant-based menu and modern setting aim to attract both guests and locals. The launch further strengthens Fairmont St Andrews’ reputation as a destination for sport, relaxation, and high-quality hospitality.
