Birchwood Park's EngineRooms reopens as a bold co-working and dining hub
Birchwood Park has unveiled its newly refurbished EngineRooms, a vibrant all-day space designed for working, eating, and socialising. The modern venue combines a business lounge, co-working hub, and food hall into one dynamic setting. Over 6,000 occupiers across the park now have access to the innovative facility. The EngineRooms was reimagined by North-West-based DV8 Designs to reflect a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. The space features bold colours, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and biophilic elements that bring nature indoors. Flexible working areas encourage collaboration and wellbeing among visitors.
The food hall adopts a 'street food' approach, offering diverse dining options to suit different dietary needs. A standout feature is a pizza oven imported directly from Italy. The redesign also prompted a name change, aligning the venue with its modernised look and purpose.
Birchwood Park, which has been home to more than 165 businesses for two decades, sees this refurbishment as the first phase of a broader vision. The goal is to establish the site as the North West’s leading out-of-town destination for all-day co-working and socialising.
Lee Birchall, Managing Director of DV8 Designs, praised the project’s innovative and welcoming design. Martin O’Rourke, Commercial Director at Birchwood Park, expects the EngineRooms to attract professionals seeking a premium space to meet, eat, and work throughout the day. The EngineRooms now offers a unique blend of work, dining, and networking opportunities. Its launch marks a key development in Birchwood Park’s long-term plan to enhance its facilities. The space is set to become a central hub for the park’s growing community of businesses and professionals.
