Playtech and Hard Rock Digital strike a $85M gaming tech partnership

Playtech PLC, a UK-based gambling software developer, has signed a long-term partnership with Hard Rock Digital. The deal will see Hard Rock license Playtech’s technology and gaming content for its online platforms. Both companies aim to expand their reach in North America and beyond. Under the agreement, Hard Rock Digital will gain access to Playtech’s iGaming products and services. In return, Playtech will receive a small equity stake in the US-based firm, valued at $85 million. The partnership also includes a revenue-sharing model, ensuring both sides benefit financially.

Hard Rock Digital is a division of Hard Rock International, a well-known brand operating cafes, hotels, and casinos worldwide. The company is co-owned by Seminole Gaming, a business arm of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Playtech, headquartered on the Isle of Man, specialises in online gambling software and technology solutions.

The collaboration is designed to boost Playtech’s presence in the US and Canada. Hard Rock Digital will integrate Playtech’s offerings into its online gaming and sports betting platforms, making them available across multiple regulated markets. The deal strengthens Playtech’s position in North America while giving Hard Rock Digital access to advanced gaming technology. Revenue from the licensed products will be shared between the two companies. The partnership is set to roll out across various global markets in the coming months.
