Boomtown Casino Names Jeff Mattia as New Executive Chef

Boomtown Casino and Hotel New Orleans has named Jeff Mattia as its new Executive Chef. The appointment brings decades of culinary expertise to the venue’s dining operations. Mattia will now lead the kitchens across four main restaurants.

Mattia’s career spans over 20 years in high-profile roles. He previously worked as Assistant Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Hotels of New Orleans and later as Executive Chef at the Royal Sonesta. His experience also includes serving as Chef and Managing Partner at Pyre BBQ.

During his career, he earned recognition as an AAA Mobile Diamond Award Winner for his work at Mohegan Sun and CraftSteak. His training began in the Marine Corps, followed by formal studies at Johnson and Wales University. At Boomtown, Mattia will shape the venue’s culinary direction. His responsibilities include overseeing NOLA Steak, Bayou Market Express, Asia, and The Sportsbook. Kathryn Jenkins, the General Manager of Boomtown Casino and Hotel New Orleans, welcomed the appointment with enthusiasm.

The casino and hotel complex features hundreds of video slots, poker games, and over 20 live and electronic table games. It also offers 150 luxury hotel rooms alongside its poker room. Mattia’s leadership is set to enhance the dining experience for guests across the property.
