Barbie Launches New NFT Collection Celebrating 250 Iconic Careers
Barbie is returning to the NFT market with a fresh collection This isn’t Barbie’s first venture into NFTs. In January 2023, the brand partnered with Balmain for a one-off digital drop. Months later, in April, Barbie joined forces with Boss Beauties for another collection, with proceeds supporting the Barbie Dream Gap Project.
The latest collection showcases 250 professions Barbie has held since 1959. Each of the 15,000 NFTs represents a different career, aiming to encourage young girls to explore their ambitions. The drop will go live on Mattel Creations’ official website.
To mark the occasion, both Barbie and Boss Beauties will donate $125,000 each. The funds will support the Barbie Dream Gap Project and the Boss Beauties Foundation, continuing their work in empowering young women. The new NFT collection celebrates Barbie’s long history of career diversity while raising funds for educational initiatives. Fans can purchase the digital assets through Mattel’s platform, with donations reinforcing the brand’s commitment to closing the dream gap for girls globally.
