WSOPE 2026 Main Event narrows to 356 players with €2M on the line
Day 2 of the 2026 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event has wrapped up with 356 players still in contention. Each remaining competitor is now guaranteed at least €10,000 from a total prize pool of €13,085,000. The top finisher will walk away with €2 million and a coveted WSOP bracelet. The day began with high stakes as players battled to secure their spots before the bubble burst. Symeon Alexandridis narrowly missed out, finishing in 357th place just moments before the money was reached. Daan Mulders then eliminated the final player before the payouts, officially bursting the bubble and locking in the 356 survivors.
Among the standout performers, Thomas Eychenne dominated the tables, finishing the day as the chip leader with a stack of 2,010,000. Close behind, Daan Mulders secured the second-largest stack, reinforcing his strong position. Shiina Okamoto also impressed, ending with 982,000 despite a rare miscalculation in a key hand. Elsewhere, Shaun Deeb survived a critical showdown to finish with 689,000. Meanwhile, Martin Kabrhel faced a brief setback after a dispute with tournament officials over an all-in bet but resumed play without further incident. Mike Moncek, however, was less fortunate—after 12 failed re-entry attempts, he was unable to advance.
The remaining 356 players will return for Day 3, each assured of a minimum €10,000 payout. With Thomas Eychenne leading the pack and a €2 million prize awaiting the champion, the competition is set to intensify. The next round will determine who advances closer to the final table.
