The final showdown saw him defeat Nikolay Fal in a tense heads-up battle. Lappo entered the final table with a modest stack but quickly built momentum. One of his biggest pots came against Fausto Tantillo, where his ace-five beat Tantillo’s ten-six. He also eliminated Mikhail Zavoloka in fifth place, winning with ace-ten against pocket eights.
Key all-in confrontations further solidified his lead. He won with ace-king against pocket sixes and later with king-queen against pocket jacks. Tantillo eventually finished third, earning €29,000.
