Shiba Inu Unveils LEASH v2 Token Blueprint: Straightforward, Safe, Transparent
In a significant move, the Shiba Inu DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation) has taken control over the takeover and fate of the unclaimed LEASH v2 tokens after the migration is completed.
The LEASH v2 token, set to launch as a standard ERC-20 token, will undergo a full, independent audit to ensure its integrity. The economic future of LEASH v2 is now under the control of the Shiba Inu's decentralised governance system.
The system from token to migrator in LEASH v2 has been engineered to be verifiable and fair, with nothing hidden. The migrator contract does not have a minting function, a move aimed at removing any doubt about supply manipulation.
The entire supply of LEASH v2 will be held in a multisignature wallet, and when a holder migrates v1 tokens, an equivalent amount of v2 is released from the multisig. This design aims to remove any uncertainty about the token's supply.
The LEASH v2 tokens will be wrapped under the confidential-token standard at a later phase, a decision that will be made by the Shiba Inu community. The community also has the power to burn unclaimed v2 tokens permanently or keep the migration process open-ended.
Initially, the team considered launching LEASH v2 with advanced capabilities, such as Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), but they decided to hold back, prioritising stability, security, and innovation on secondary layers.
The changes in LEASH v2, including removing minting powers and simplifying the token's design, are all aimed at providing a predictable and fully community-controlled system. The Shiba Inu community will also decide whether to set a hard cutoff date for migration.
The future of LEASH v2 is shaping up to be a transparent, community-driven, and secure ecosystem, with the Shiba Inu DAO at its helm.
