Rounder Cup's €2,750 poker showdown nears climax in Prague

The Rounder Cup, a €2,750 buy-in poker tournament, has reached its final stages in Prague. Players from Europe and the rest of the world competed in separate flights, with only 104 advancing to Day 2 at the Hilton. The tournament split its field into two groups: Europe and the Rest of the World. From 380 European entries, 61 players remain, while 43 advanced from 267 Rest of the World entries. Tony Zengovski of North Macedonia leads the European field with 423,000 chips, while Canada’s Mike Leah tops the Rest of the World with 550,000.

Day 1 saw six players eliminated just before the money bubble, with payouts beginning at the final 98. Notable names like Benny Glaser from the UK also progressed in the European field. Day 2 will combine both flights, playing down to a winner. Blinds start at 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 big blind ante. Meanwhile, the WSOP Europe Main Event set a record with over 2,600 entries, the largest in European history.

The Rounder Cup now heads into its decisive phase with 104 players remaining. The winner will emerge after Day 2’s combined action, while the WSOP Europe Main Event continues to break participation records in Prague.
