Priuralskoye's rural health post remains unfinished amid construction flaws

Residents of Priuralskoye village have faced repeated delays in the opening of their new rural health post. Originally set to launch by the end of last year, the facility remains unfinished due to ongoing construction issues. The project is part of Russia’s national initiative Long and Active Life, backed by President Vladimir Putin.

Local authorities conducted an on-site inspection and uncovered multiple problems. Unfinished ventilation, incomplete roof insulation, and missing floor tiles were among the key issues. The roof also lacked proper fire-retardant treatment.

The same contractor was found responsible for similar violations at three other health posts in Izhema District. Officials have now ordered the company to fix all deficiencies by the end of March. The health post, designed to serve over 300 people in Priuralskoye and neighbouring settlements, must also be connected to central utilities before opening. Once completed, the facility will include essential medical equipment and internet access. The contractor has been instructed to resolve all outstanding problems without further delay.

The health post was meant to improve healthcare access for rural residents under the national project. With the deadline for repairs set, authorities will monitor progress closely. The facility’s completion remains critical for the community’s medical needs.
