Local endurance athletes inspire at Isle of Man charity fundraiser
A joint charity event hosted by Motiv8 and Hospice Isle of Man celebrated local endurance athletes while raising vital funds. Nearly 100 people gathered to hear from UK Spine Race record holder Jack Scott and Manx fell runners Nikki Arthur and Orran Smith. The evening also highlighted the essential work of both organisations across the island.
The event took place at IQ-EQ’s offices in Douglas, with Rivalry as the main sponsor. Chris Kirk from Manx Fell Runners led the evening as compere. Attendees listened as Jack Scott shared his personal journey, discussing resilience, wellbeing, and the importance of community backing.
All money raised went directly to the charities’ frontline services. A total of £856.18 was generated for each organisation. Kewin Kerruish, Head of Human Resources at IQ-EQ, stated that the company was honoured to support the cause. Luke Fisher from Rivalry called it a privilege to contribute and described Scott’s and the local runners’ stories as deeply inspiring. The evening also spotlighted the ongoing efforts of Motiv8 Addiction Services and Hospice Isle of Man. Both charities provide critical assistance to individuals and families on the island.
