The image shows a room filled with lots of books and furniture, including chairs, tables, stools, carpets on the floor, bookshelves filled with books, boards with text and pictures on the walls, lights on the ceiling, and glass windows. It appears to be a children's library, with a variety of activities and books to choose from.

Krasnouralsk’s Branch No. 3 library is set for a full transformation ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year. The renovation will turn the space into a modern, inclusive hub designed for visitors of every age. Officials have already begun preparations, with safety upgrades and repairs completed last year. The library’s redesign follows the ‘1,000 Opportunities and More’ concept, ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities and sensory sensitivities. New features will include an interactive play zone, a media lounge, an audio studio, and flexible work areas. The interior will mix industrial and natural elements, using a copper-and-greenery colour scheme.

Planning for the project started in 2023, with early work focusing on structural improvements and safety measures. The revamped library will also update its furniture and expand its collection. Krasnouralsk Mayor Dmitry Kuzminykh described the vision as a ‘warm, light-filled space brimming with inspiration’ for learning and creativity. Funding comes from the federal ‘Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure’ initiative, part of the wider national ‘Family’ programme. The grand reopening is timed for September 2026, marking the library’s 35th anniversary.

The renovation aims to boost visitor numbers by offering more services and a welcoming environment. Once complete, the library will provide dedicated spaces for work, play, and media production. The project reflects broader efforts to upgrade cultural infrastructure across the region.
