FreakCon's 10th anniversary debuts a K-pop festival in Torremolinos

FreakCon, southern Europe’s largest pop culture convention, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The event will feature a dedicated K-pop festival on Friday, May 22, as part of a weekend packed with gaming, manga, and cosplay activities. Fans can expect performances, workshops, and appearances from international guests across three days in Torremolinos. The K-pop festival will run from 5pm to 11pm at the Palacio de Congresos de Torremolinos. Tickets for the event are sold separately from the main FreakCon passes, with prices starting at €17. Organisers advise booking early, as previous editions have sold out quickly.

Headline acts include a Blackpink tribute by Rooftop Urban Dance Studio and a BTS tribute show by PonySquad. Other performers feature Red Flag, Risin Star, and Tami Tamako. Beyond live music, attendees can join karaoke sessions, dance workshops, and interactive quizzes. The wider FreakCon event spans May 22 to 24, bringing together streamers, cosplay stars, and industry guests. The convention covers everything from manga and gaming to pop culture discussions, making it a key date for fans in the region.

The K-pop festival adds a new highlight to FreakCon’s 10th-anniversary lineup. With separate tickets required, organisers expect strong demand for both the Friday event and the full weekend. Early booking is recommended to secure access to performances, workshops, and guest appearances.
