Fortnite's Simpsons Mini-Season Brings Springfield to Life for a Limited Time

**Fortnite's Springfield Showdown: The Simpsons Invade in a Limited-Time Mini-Season** Fortnite is now hosting a battle for survival on Springfield Island, where yellow-skinned characters from *The Simpsons* universe fight it out. Iconic locations and beloved characters from the long-running animated series have arrived for a limited-time "mini-season," complete with a new Battle Pass featuring yellow-themed skins.

**Battling at the Nuclear Plant and Beyond**

According to *Eurogamer*, nine Springfield landmarks are now up for grabs as battlegrounds, including the nuclear power plant, Kamp Krusty, Mr. Burns' mansion, the Donut District, Mayor Munchies, and Evergreen Terrace—the home of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The new island debuts with Season 5 of Chapter 6, introducing special weapons and items straight from *The Simpsons*. Epic Games has rendered everything in a cel-shaded style, seamlessly blending the show's 2D characters into Fortnite's 3D world—without making it look fully 3D, as seen in 2003's *The Simpsons: Hit & Run*.

**Characters and the Battle Pass**

As usual, the new season comes with a fresh Battle Pass, allowing players to unlock additional content—including skins like Marge Simpson, Ned Flanders, Homer Simpson, and even Peely Simpson—through gameplay (for a price). Meanwhile, all players with a linked Twitch account can claim a free glider featuring **Kang and Kodos**, the green alien duo from the franchise.

**Fortnite Introduces Companions for the First Time**

The update also brings a new feature: companions—essentially pets that follow players around. The first is **"Bowl"** (or *Schälchen* in German), a dog with banana ears and a banana tail. Players can purchase the companion in the shop now, with more set to release starting November 7.

**A Limited-Time Event**

As always, the season—and this crossover—won't last forever. Since this is a mini-season, fans will need to act fast: Springfield Island will only be playable until **November 29**. Over the coming weeks, the map will receive updates, meaning new content is on the way. Additionally, Disney+ (which recently raised its prices) will roll out short animated clips tied to the collaboration in the weeks ahead.
