Celine Dion delays Vegas residency as Adele's sold-out shows spark extension talks

Two of music’s biggest stars are facing very different fortunes with their upcoming performances. Celine Dion has been forced to delay her Las Vegas residency and cancel her North American tour due to health struggles. Meanwhile, Adele’s highly anticipated residency has sold out completely, with talks already underway to extend it beyond the original dates. Celine Dion was set to begin her residency at Resorts World Las Vegas on January 19, 2022. However, severe and persistent muscle spasms have pushed back her plans. As a result, she has also canceled all 16 shows in the US and Canada as part of her Courage World Tour. Despite these setbacks, the singer still intends to return to the stage, with a new European tour scheduled to start on May 25, 2022.

Adele’s residency, *Weekends With Adele*, has seen far smoother progress. Tickets for her shows at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum sold out immediately after going on sale in December 2021. The residency officially begins on January 21, 2022, and is currently set to run until April 16, 2022. Due to overwhelming demand, Caesars is now in discussions with the singer about extending the residency beyond its original end date.

Celine Dion’s health issues have forced major changes to her tour schedule, while Adele’s residency continues to draw massive interest. Fans of Dion will now look to her European dates in late May, whereas Adele’s sold-out shows in Las Vegas may soon be extended.
