Amid Growing Public Concerns, Brüggen Invites Residents to Learn About Emergency Preparedness

In response to rising unease among the population, the town of Brüggen is inviting all citizens to a special event this day to learn about potential hazards and effective precautionary measures. The initiative comes against the backdrop of severe rainfall events that have struck the region in recent years.

Expert exhibitors and speakers will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance on topics including heavy rainfall, heatwaves, blackouts, wildfires, climate adaptation strategies, and emergency supplies for the home. The Flood Response Mobile Unit will offer advice on how individuals can protect themselves against flooding, while the "Lighthouse" action station will explain what steps residents should take during prolonged power outages and where to find support.

Additionally, representatives from the building authority, public order office, fire department, local pharmacies, the Schwalm Association, and Viersen district will be available to address inquiries and provide information on crisis preparedness.
