BSV Sachsen Zwickau's handball players will remain in the top league for another season. They defeated HSG Bad Wildungen 34-26 (22:9) at home on Saturday, ensuring their place in the 1st Bundesliga. Laila Ihlefeldt, Rita Lakatos (6 goals each), Simona Stojkovska (5), and Diana Magnusdottir (4) played a significant role in Zwickau's victory. Anika Hampel (7 goals, 5 assists) and Norma Goldmann (5 goals, 2 assists) were Bad Wildungen's top scorers.
Zwickau asserted their dominance from the start, going from 6:3 (10th minute) to a 12-4 lead by the end of the first half. The team from Saxony comfortably handled the team that was already demoted from the second division and maintained their 13-goal advantage throughout the game.
