Garmisch-Partenkirchen
The second jump of the 2023/2024 Four Hills Tournament took place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on December 31 and January 1. The competition sprang an initial surprise for the audience: Anže Lanišek, 27, from Slovenia bagged the victory with 295.8 points. He hadn't even managed a top-10 position in the first jump in Oberstdorf.
Ryoyu Kobayashi bagged the second spot with 292.6 points, followed by Andreas Wellinger with 291.4 points and Manuel Fettner, 38, with 288.7 points. Favorite Stefan Kraft managed only the sixth position.
Hole in Andreas Wellinger's Suit Almost Led to Disqualification
Andreas Wellinger's tour commenced with a victory, but shortly thereafter, photos emerged showing a hole in his ski jumping suit. There were initial thoughts that this was not in compliance with the rules, and a disqualification was considered.

Ryoyu Kobayashi secures second place again: With his 258.7 points, he surpassed third-placed Michael Hayböck, 32. Andreas Wellinger ended up in fifth place in the Innsbruck competition, while Stefan Kraft came in sixth.
