Sphere acquires "The Eagles" for Las Vegas. Tom Jones makes a comeback in the same city.

We predicted this almost a year ago, and now it's been confirmed: The Eagles will be performing at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

This renowned rock band from Southern California revealed their plans for eight concerts at the $2 billion venue, taking place between September 20 and October 19.

These upcoming performances are part of the Eagles' "Long Goodbye," an event that launched back in September, seven years after the passing of co-founder Glenn Frey.

The Sphere has already hosted three other acts - U2, who opened the innovative concert hall last year, Phish, and Dead & Company, whose 30-show residency will end in August.

As the Eagles are managed by Sphere consultant Irving Azoff, one of James Dolan's initial partners in the venue, they are planning to add more shows depending on demand.

Tickets for the initial shows (September 20-21, September 27-28, October 11-12, and October 18-19) start at $175 and can be purchased through the band's website on June 21.

Registration for the Eagles' presale, beginning at 1 p.m. ET on June 18, is now open via their website. Additionally, there will be a Live Nation presale starting at 1 p.m. ET on June 20. A limited number of VIP packages will also go on sale on the band's website at 1 p.m. ET on June 18.

It's Time to Give Those Panties a Throw Again

Veteran singer Tom Jones is returning to the Las Vegas Strip with two performances at Wynn's Encore Theater on September 28-29.

This Wales-born pop legend who turned 84 last week first appeared on the Strip in 1967 at the Flamingo. In the '70s, he remained a regular presence at the International (now known as Westgate).

During the '80s, Jones often performed at the MGM Grand in the theater that was later named after David Copperfield.

He last performed at Wynn in October 2022, but had been away from the Strip for 12 years before that. Ticket details will be shared next week along with the official announcement.
