Scientific Games Introduces New Terminals for Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz Lottery
U.S.-based tech firm Scientific Games has agreed to aid in the updating of Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz's retail lottery terminals by providing fresh equipment. The updates will commence in 2025, as part of a five-year partnership between the organizations.
Scientific Games and Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz have sealed a new five-year pact for the modernization of retail lottery terminals.
The tech company will equip Contour.v-Terminals, equipped with cameras, at Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz's retail stores throughout Rhineland-Palatinate. The terminals will run on SYMPHONY Edge software.
Modernized terminals streamline ticket submission for lottery enthusiasts
Lotto enthusiasts in Rhineland-Palatinate can expect several new functionalities when submitting their lottery tickets at the terminals. They can now digitally fill out various lottery tickets like 6 aus 49, Super 6, and Spiel 77 and print out their game receipts.
The payment process can also be concluded at the terminals, either through cash or card. Players can scan their receipts at the terminal to confirm if they've won a prize.

Lotto players can get engaged in a variety of German lotteries at Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz, including the classic 6 aus 49, where players must correctly forecast six winning numbers and the bonus number to win the lottery jackpot.
The company also provides opportunities to participate in the Glücksspirale, where players can win money, goods, and even an immediate retirement. This year, Scientific Games has entered into a collaboration agreement with WestLotto, the lottery company of North Rhine-Westphalia, and will install a total of 3,000 lottery terminals in NRW starting in April 2025.
