Football matches rescheduled amid player strike - Sandhausen, Villingen, and Aalen have won the cup.

The soccer clubs SV Sandhausen, FC 08 Villingen, and VfR Aalen have clinched state cups in Baden-Württemberg, securing their spot in the DFB Cup. Third-division team Sandhausen made a resounding victory in the Baden Cup with a crushing 8:0 win over sixth-division 1. FC Mühlhausen in Walldorf. In the South Baden Cup, Oberliga team Villingen snatched a 1:0 win over five-division side SC Lahr in Freiburg. Meanwhile, relegated regional league side Aalen emerged victorious against Oberliga competitor SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the Württemberg Cup with a 3:1 score in Aspach.

As winners of the state cups, Sandhausen, Villingen, and Aalen are eligible for a six-figure entry bonus for the first round of the DFB Cup (August 16-19). The amount of this bonus, managed by the German Football Association (DFB), remains undisclosed. Last season, this bonus amounted to approximately 215,000 euros. In the first round, these teams have the right to host matches and will face opponents from the first or second division. The draw will be on June 1.

Sandhausen's goals in the Baden Cup final against Mühlhausen were scored by Patrick Greil (6th minute), David Otto (13th), Markus Pink (34th and 35th), Jonas Weik (38th), Joseph Charles Richardson II (72nd), Tim Maciejewski (77th), and Franck Evina (87th). Tevfik Ceylan (29th) notched the winning goal for Villingen against Lahr. Aalen's goals in their Württemberg Cup win over SG Sonnenhof Großaspach resulted from strikes by Ali Odabas (35th), Alessandro Abruscia (47th and 90.+7), and As Ibrahima Diakité, who converted a penalty (81st). Dominik Salz (54th) did score a goal for Großaspach to reduce their deficit to 1:2, but they did not equalize past that point.
