Building a Reputation

Roobet co-founder Matt Duea stated that bringing on Snoop Dogg, a global superstar who doesn't need an introduction, is all about bolstering the crypto casino's reputation. Established in 2019, Roobet claims to be one of the fastest-growing crypto casinos in existence.

Since its inception, our mission has been to push the boundaries of what a gaming brand can be, and Snoop’s a forward-thinker,” said Duea. “Together, we’ll completely redefine the online entertainment experience.”

Duea explained that Roobet strives to offer the "most thrilling and immersive online casino experience" available. "With Snoop on board, the future of digital entertainment looks brighter than ever," Duea added.

Snoop revealed he was enticed by the sponsorship opportunity due to Roobet's one-of-a-kind brand.

"These guys are doing something unique," Snoop said. "This partnership just feels right, and we're going to carve out a new path for online entertainment."

Roobet stated that Snoop will leverage his skills from the entertainment industry and his brand knowledge for the casino business.

Crypto's Comeback

The December arrest of Sam Bankman-Fried, co-founder and CEO of FTX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, dealt a severe blow to the crypto world.

Prior to his arrest in the Bahamas, where FTX was based, Bitcoin was trading above $20K. Bankman-Fried is being accused of wire fraud, commodities fraud, securities fraud, money laundering, and campaign finance law violations. The FTT cryptocurrency plummeted, and the stock fell below $17K just weeks later.

Bankman-Fried is suspected of utilizing customers' FTX crypto holdings for risky investments through another company he spearheaded, Alameda Research. When rumors surfaced about FTX funds being improperly used to fund Alameda, customers started withdrawing their crypto holdings, which led to FTX filing for bankruptcy when it couldn't handle the requested transactions.

Some financial experts believed FTX's downfall would tarnish the crypto markets forever, but prices have since bounced back. Bitcoin is trading above $23,300 as of Thursday morning — though that's around 47% below where the digital currency was trading at this time last year.
