Former Bayern trainer - Nagelsmann views Bayern's season sans championship as an opportunity for Kompany.
Julian Nagelsmann, a renowned national football coach and former Bayern coach, believes Vincent Kompany, a 38-year-old potential replacement for the position at Munich, has a great opportunity this season. "It's not a bad situation for a young coach like him," said Nagelsmann. Having left his successful stint at Bayern in March 2023 after appointing in July 2021, Nagelsmann expressed confidence in Kompany's potential contributions.
Kompany, who previously led Manchester City and Hamburger SV, is now regarded as one of the hottest contenders to succeed Thomas Tuchel. Munich is reportedly on the verge of signing the former professional footballer, despite several rejections from the team.
According to Nagelsmann, Kompany could potentially make a bigger impact on Bayern than if they had clinched the championship this time around. Interestingly, Nagelsmann confessed to not knowing Kompany particularly well or personally. "I've heard that he is a fantastic coach with a remarkable perspective and an impressive lineup of coaches who trained him," he said. "That's why I think he'll excel."
