Company Reorganizes Itself - Multitudes Anticipated at Hessentag: Rhine Salutes Helpers

Praising its inaugural weekend, the Hessentag in Fritzlar has seen a lively and steady influx of around 14,000 visitors - some 4,500 more than the previous day - as told by a festive representative to the German Press Agency. This coming Saturday, the rest of the day is expected to bring in even more attendees. Among the planned activities for the weekend is the Countrywomen's Day, the Volunteer Day, and a "planet radio party" in the evening. Additionally, the abundance of oodles of smaller events has caught the eye of various guests, creating a peaceful ambiance supported by sun, clouds, and pleasant temperatures of about 22 degrees.

Referencing those who work behind the scenes to ensure the festival runs smoothly, Hesse's Minister President Boris Rhein and Interior Minister Roman Poseck (both hailing from the CDU) took the opportunity to convey their gratitude to the 80,000 firefighters and emergency responders in the state during the Volunteer Day. Praising their efforts, Rhein recognized their selflessness and courage. "These silent heroes play a crucial role in upholding a thriving community. They often go above and beyond their professional and familial responsibilities to ensure the local fire department and disaster control remain strong," mentioned the Minister President.

Meanwhile, Poseck warmly welcomed the addition of 330 new members to the fire and disaster protection services. "Their presence will significantly shore up the existing high level of fire and disaster protection," expressed the Minister.

Likewise, Rhein praised the role of around 36,000 rural women in Hesse as an exceptional sign of voluntary commitment. "Balancing responsibility, healthy nutrition, and accountable housekeeping, the actions of the region's women support the well-being of their communities and serve as a valuable anchor for residents in rural Hesse and beyond," asserted the Minister President.

Music, comedy, information events, cultural traditions, and more - altogether, an impressive 1,200 events are set to take place from now until June 2nd, with a large parade to conclude the festival. The event team is optimistic about drawing in around 500,000 spectators for the Hessentag this year.
