Could St. Pauli be losing their star striker? - Multimillion-dollar bid for Saad's acquisition.

The player who functioned as the vertical shooter last season is being scouted by a team in the Bundesliga.

It has been reported by "Africafoot", a football-related website, that the Kiez Club has turned down an initial offer from VfL Wolfsburg. This rejection came as their initial bid was deemed too low.

Elias Saad, who only played in the 4th league 17 months ago, played a total of 34 league and cup games last season, scoring nine goals and recording three assists. He is currently at the training camp of the Tunisian national team and has been invited to play in the upcoming World Cup qualification matches against Equatorial Guinea and Namibia in June.

Saad would be the second vital player to leave St. Pauli - following Marcel Hartel (28 years of age, contract runs out) who has already announced his departure at the end of the season. The top goalscorer of the 2nd league (17 goals, 13 assists) has not yet decided which club he will be joining.

While Hartel's contract has expired, Saad still has a valid contract. His current market value is estimated to be about three million euros, according to transfermarkt.de.

There's no way St. Pauli is going to let go of their striker for less than five million euros, as stated in the report by Africafoot. The club's aim is to maintain as much of their promotion team as possible.
