Indigenous Casino Condemns George Lopez for Leaving Show Prematurely
On June 7, George Lopez drew flak for finishing his gig at California's Eagle Mountain Casino 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. However, the casino itself wasn't pleased with Lopez either.
Posting on their Facebook page, the casino expressed their disappointment, stating, "Tonight, George Lopez disappointed both his fans and sold out audience by leaving 30 minutes early." They were upset not only because ticket-holders felt shortchanged but because Lopez, despite hiring his own security, failed to use it to eject hecklers.
YouTube videos captured the incident with Lopez saying, "See you next time, Porterville," and then abruptly exiting. The narrator of one video explains that Lopez left as audience members were heckling and talking back, resulting in a shared sense of injustice. Eagle Mountain Casino clarified in their post that Lopez could have had their security remove the hecklers, creating a more positive experience.
Complicating matters, the casino had already dealt with Lopez's rescheduling his show. It had initially been scheduled for April 20, but he canceled due to a medical issue. The casino patiently worked with Lopez to reschedule it months later, but now feels let down by his actions at the concert.
"We went out of our way to provide George with top-notch service from when he arrived at the property to the start of the show," mentioned the casino in their post, adding how they hope for better treatment from Lopez in the future.
About the Casino

The complex houses 1,750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a 1,700-seat theatre, where Lopez performed.
