Proposed plan for Litti - Illgner becomes CEO of Cologne!
And another thing, Litti...
He suggested a World Champion sports board, incorporating FC legends Lukas Podolski (38), Thomas Häßler (57), and Jonas Hector (33) into play. "The concept of a World Champion sports board truly resonates with me," said the former FC star, sparking excitement among many Cologne fans.
Currently, Litti, who boasts 406 Bundesliga games and 116 goals for Cologne, is stepping down due to another fellow traveler and FC world champion – Bodo Illgner (57) – being mentioned in several fan comments.
Litti addresses this in his video, stating, "I have a topic here that's likely to spark some conversation. Many Cologne fans have brought up the name Bodo Illgner. I find this idea quite fascinating. Bodo won the World Cup with me in 1990; we go way back. I believe he'd make an excellent president. He's smart, trustworthy, and definitely has the FC DNA."
Will Illgner be open to taking on this crisis-stricken FC?
Litti mentioned, "Bodo has expressed before that he would like to be involved in professional football again. I think this could be the perfect opportunity. Let's see what he has to say about it, whether he's willing to help the club and can do so."
Littbarski had voiced significant concerns about his club, saying things like, "How can you even survive in the second league, let alone promote? These are blunders costing millions. In the free market economy, the responsible people are held accountable. Football has transformed into a free market economy."
