Chemnitz got off to a quick start, scoring a goal in the 7th minute from Jannik Wolter. Then, Romario Hajrulla, who's rumored to be transferring to promoted Cottbus, evened it out for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt before the half-time whistle blew (30').

Hajrulla, an Albanian player with a Greek passport, is set to move on from Erfurt and give it his all in professional soccer with the promoted Lusatians. After the break, he demonstrated his skills by scoring his second goal of the game, putting Erfurt back in front (51'). He's scored 8 goals this season for the team, having been picked up from Jena in the 2022 winter recruitment period.

However, it wasn't enough for a win. Captain Andrej Startsev was given a yellow/red card (69'), and Chemnitz responded by tying things up with a goal from Lukas Stagge (71').
