100 Thieves revives Counter-Strike 2 team with crypto casino sponsorship

100 Thieves has relaunched its Counter-Strike 2 team after a four-year break. The move follows a major sponsorship deal with crypto casino Roobet, marking one of the organisation’s most lucrative partnerships to date. The agreement also includes plans to expand the brand’s presence in Europe with a new training and content facility.

The deal with Roobet secures naming rights for the Counter-Strike team, tying the casino’s branding to the roster. This multi-year agreement represents 100 Thieves’ first return to Counter-Strike since disbanding its previous team in 2020. A significant portion of the funds will support the organisation’s growth in Europe, including the development of a dedicated training centre in Serbia.

The new facility will double as a content hub for *Counter-Strike* creators and streamers. Meanwhile, 100 Thieves founder Matthew 'Nadeshot' Haag maintains his own partnership with Roobet, often streaming casino games like online slots and table games. The announcement comes shortly after former *Call of Duty* pro OpTic Scump faced backlash for his own Roobet sponsorship during a recent stream.

The relaunch of 100 Thieves’ Counter-Strike 2 team is backed by a high-value sponsorship and expansion plans. With a new European base and a focus on content creation, the organisation aims to strengthen its position in the esports scene.
