Son Heung-min Extends Stay at Tottenham Hotspur Until 2025

South Korea international Son Heung-min has extended his contract with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, keeping him at the club until at least June 30, 2025.

The 29-year-old, who joined Spurs from German side Bayer 04 Leverkusen in August 2015, expressed his delight at playing for the London club for six years and counting. Son Heung-min has made 280 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 107 goals and providing 64 assists.

Speaking about his decision to stay at the club, Son Heung-min stated that it was an easy one for him, as Tottenham Hotspur has shown him a lot of respect. He also mentioned feeling very happy to be at the club and being at home at Tottenham Hotspur.

The extension of Son Heung-min's contract was officially announced, with the player set to continue as the captain of the South Korea national team and the spearhead of Tottenham Hotspur's attack under new coach Thomas Frank. Frank, who became head coach of the club in June 2025 after seven years managing Brentford, will be looking to build on the solid foundation laid by his predecessors and guide the team to even greater success.

Son Heung-min's extension comes as a boost for Tottenham Hotspur, who have been struggling to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea in recent seasons. With Son Heung-min's undeniable talent and leadership, the club will be hoping that he can help them to challenge for honours in the coming years.

In the meantime, Son Heung-min is looking forward to seeing the Tottenham Hotspur fans again and repaying their support with more goals and assists on the pitch. With his contract now extended, Son Heung-min will be able to do just that for at least another two years.
