Jersey's weekend packs 90s raves, rugby, and dance into one lively Saturday
This weekend brings a mix of sport, music, and dance to Jersey. A 1990s-themed rave, a rugby match, and a studio showcase will all take place on Saturday, while a free seafront run follows on Tuesday. Events cater to different tastes, with some offering free entry and others featuring well-known performers. The Royal Yacht will host the Night Owl event on Saturday evening. Running from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM, the night promises a 1990s rave atmosphere in The Drift. Headliner Rowetta, known for her work with Happy Mondays, will take the stage. Final release tickets are priced at £29.50.
Earlier that day, Jersey Rugby Club welcomes spectators to a match between Jersey Royals and Brighton II. Kick-off is at 2:30 PM, with free entry for all. The club also offers a three-course pre-match lunch for those booking in advance. Meanwhile, Silhouette Studios presents its annual showcase at Jersey Opera House across the weekend. Performances take place at 12 PM and 6 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. The show explores underwater life, surface environments, and South American culture, with tickets starting from £21. On Tuesday 10 March, runners can join the West Park 5km event along St Aubin’s Bay. Starting at 6:30 PM, the seafront race is free to enter and open to all participants.
The weekend’s events include live music, competitive sport, and creative performances. Some activities, like the rugby match and 5km run, require no payment, while others offer ticketed experiences. Organisers have scheduled options for both daytime and evening entertainment.
