Hugo Caldeira wins €238K in PartyPoker Tour Madrid's dramatic finale

Hugo Caldeira has taken down the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid €500 main event. The tournament drew 535 entries, with just six players reaching the final table. A crucial hand against Alejandro Rubio helped secure his victory and the top prize of €238,075. The decisive moment came when Caldeira clashed with Rubio in a high-stakes showdown. Rubio three-bet Caldeira’s raise, setting up a large pot. Caldeira held pocket kings, while Rubio went in with ace-king.

The board favoured Caldeira, and his stack surged to 6,560,000 after the win. Meanwhile, Rubio’s chips dropped sharply to 2,275,000, weakening his position at the table. With the momentum firmly on his side, Caldeira went on to claim the title. The final table had started with six hopefuls, but only one would leave with the championship.

Caldeira’s victory in Madrid earns him €238,075 and the tournament trophy. The key hand against Rubio proved pivotal, shifting the chip lead in his favour. His win caps off a strong performance in a field of 535 competitors.
