In the past week, several unusual incidents have unfolded in the cities of Tübingen and Reutlingen.

On Monday morning, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Französisches Viertel and Reutlinger Straße in Tübingen. A 54-year-old cyclist entered the street without braking, disregarding the right of way of a 63-year-old Opel driver. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the damage to both vehicles, which had to be towed, was estimated at around 30,000 euros.

Later that day, a dispute among children in the area of a playground in Theodor-Heuss-Straße led to a physical altercation between several adults. No further details about the incident have been released.

In a more serious incident, a motorcyclist was severely injured in a traffic accident on Monday evening on K6912 towards Einsiedel. The exact nature of the injuries and the current condition of the motorcyclist are not known.

The following day, Tuesday, a cyclist had to be taken to a clinic with a severe injury after falling from her pedelec on the B297 towards Reudern.

In a separate incident on Tuesday morning, a cyclist was involved in a traffic accident on Heselwanger Street. No further details about this incident have been provided.

In Reutlingen, two vehicle fires were reported early on Tuesday morning. The first fire involved a no longer registered Peugeot Transporter that was completely burned out. The second fire engulfed a Chevrolet, which had been parked on the right side of the road, and spread to an adjacent hedge. The Criminal Investigation Department Reutlingen is investigating both incidents due to suspicion of arson.

On Monday morning, an unknown perpetrator gained access to a residential building on Hirschauer Heerweg in Tübingen by forcing open a terrace door. No information is currently available on any stolen goods.

A more common incident occurred in Hechingen on Monday morning, where a pot was left on a stove in a multi-family home on Schulstraße, causing smoke. The fire department, which arrived with five vehicles and around 30 personnel, discovered the pot on the turned-on stove and were able to extinguish the fire quickly. A nearby Ford Focus also suffered significant damage due to the intense heat.

The investigation of the car fire in the Hornstraße district of Reutlingen on suspicion of arson belongs to the Reutlingen police department. Emergency services were deployed to a suspected distress call from a person in the Neckar River near Hirschau on Monday afternoon. Initial findings suggest that a 19-year-old driver suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident on Monday afternoon on the K1205. With the help of bystanders, a person who had fallen into the water was rescued, but the rescue operation was mistakenly initiated afterwards.

A man was injured in an altercation on Monday afternoon in the area of the entrance to the parking garage on Kollwitzstraße. No further details about the incident have been released.

The police are seeking information about an incident that occurred on Monday evening on the K6912 towards Einsiedel. The perpetrator is described as approximately 50 years old, of slim build, with shoulder-length wavy dark blonde hair, and a squint.

These incidents serve as a reminder to be vigilant and cautious in our daily lives. The authorities are working diligently to investigate these incidents and bring those responsible to justice.
