Accelerated Airing Schedule for MasterChef 2025: Premieres of First Three Episodes Simultaneously on BBC iPlayer

The eagerly anticipated new series of MasterChef is set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from August 6, giving viewers the opportunity to witness the culinary talents of amateur chefs from across the UK.

In a statement, the BBC confirmed that the first three episodes will be made available on iPlayer on August 6, with the first episode airing on BBC One at 8 pm. The remaining episodes will air at the same time each day, with episode two airing on Thursday, August 7, and a third episode on Friday, August 8 at 8.30 pm.

However, the new series comes amidst controversy surrounding two of the show's former presenters, John Torode and John Wallace. In July 2025, John Torode was dismissed from his role as presenter due to an upheld allegation of using an extremely offensive racist term. The independent law firm's report upheld 45 allegations of misconduct against John Wallace on MasterChef.

John Torode has stated that he has no recollection of the alleged incident and believes it did not happen. Gregg Wallace, on the other hand, had a difference in perception regarding an allegation of unwanted touching, for which he expressed deep sorrow.

Despite their dismissal by the BBC in July 2025, both John Torode and Gregg Wallace continue to present the 2025 series as episodes were filmed the previous year. The BBC has yet to announce any decisions regarding a Christmas special and a celebrity series for MasterChef 2025.

The BBC has been careful in its approach to the new series, wanting to give the audience the choice to watch the new series of MasterChef while also taking into account the controversy surrounding the show's former presenters. The BBC believes that broadcasting the new series is the right thing to do for the amateur chefs who have given so much to the process.

The new series of MasterChef is not related to the misconduct allegations against John Wallace and John Torode. Instead, it promises to showcase the best culinary talents the UK has to offer, with the first amateur series kicking off on August 6 at 8 pm.

In conclusion, the new series of MasterChef is set to premiere on BBC One and iPlayer on August 6, with the first three episodes dropping on iPlayer on the same day. The BBC has taken a careful and considerate approach to the new series, wanting to give the audience the choice to watch while also taking into account the controversy surrounding the show's former presenters.
