A group of young individuals have been engaging in physical confrontations with local law enforcement in the areas of Herrenberg, KayhAmmerbuch, and Altingen, Lebanon.
In an incident that occurred on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, around 22:30, a 17-year-old is under investigation for participating in an illegal street race, driving without a license, and driving without insurance. The incident took place on the federal highway B296 near Kayh.
The drama unfolded when the teenager was driving a moped without license plates. Witnesses in Tübingen-Unterjesingen reported his erratic driving, which eventually led to a series of events that caused concern for public safety.
Upon entering Altingen, the teenager swerved back onto the road, causing a patrol car from the Herrenberg police station to brake sharply to avoid a collision. The moped was eventually found, and the police attempted to stop it, but the teenager attempted to escape.
He turned left onto Gipswerkstraße, driving over a green strip and using a bike path. After fleeing through a construction site barrier, the teenager was temporarily lost from sight.
The police units from the Reutlingen Police Headquarters, who were dispatched to the scene, later found the teenager on a gas station lot in Lettenstraße. Despite trying to run away, he was caught by the police.
