888 Holdings appoints Sean Wilkins as new CFO amid leadership shake-up

888 Holdings has named Sean Wilkins as its new group chief financial officer. He will take over from Yariv Dafna, who is set to leave the company in early October. Wilkins brings experience from both gaming and major non-gambling firms.

Wilkins currently works at Super Bet, a gaming operator, where he holds a senior financial role. Before this, he spent years in finance at well-known companies like O2 Asia and Tesco. His appointment follows a period of change at 888, which recently bought William Hill and sold its Latvian assets.

Yariv Dafna will officially step down on October 2, 2023. Until then, Vaughan Lewis will act as interim CFO. Wilkins will begin his new position on February 1, 2024, reporting to Per Widerström, who becomes 888’s CEO on October 16. The company has also reported solid financial results for the first half of the year, with revenue and adjusted EBITDA both rising. Lord Mendelsohn, 888’s executive chairman, welcomed Wilkins and highlighted his ability to drive shareholder value.

Wilkins will join 888 at a time of transition, with new leadership and recent acquisitions reshaping the business. His role will focus on maintaining financial growth and supporting the company’s strategic goals.
