2026 Triton Montenegro Crowns Champions in Record-Breaking High-Stakes Poker

The 2026 Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro wrapped up last week after two intense weeks of high-stakes poker. Held at the Maestral Resort & Casino from May 13 to May 28, the festival drew some of the world’s top professionals. With 18 events on the schedule, the series once again cemented its place as a must-watch for poker fans globally.

The action was followed closely, even by audiences who regularly play on US online poker sites. The Montenegro stop reinforced Triton’s standing as one of poker’s most prestigious high-roller tours, offering massive prize pools and elite competition.

The festival featured a mix of No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments, with several events generating multi-million-dollar prize pools. Among the highlights was the $100,000 PLO Main Event, which attracted 76 entries and built a $7.6 million prize pool. Daniel Dvoress emerged victorious, taking home $2.018 million and securing his fifth Triton title.

Another standout event was the $50,000 PLO Mystery Bounty, where Matthias Eibinger claimed the top prize of $353,000. His win was further boosted by an additional $700,000 in bounty rewards, making it one of the most lucrative performances of the series. The festival also underscored the growing appeal of Omaha tournaments. Both players and fans showed increased interest in the format, with strong turnouts across multiple PLO events. The high level of competition and substantial payouts kept the excitement running throughout the two-week series.
