EATING OUT UPDATE: Fontainebleau Showcases Funke Kitchen, Las Vegas Highlights Cheesy Dishes
Among the 36 luxurious eateries opening at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on December 13 is the first location of Chef Evan Funke's Mother Wolf Italian Restaurant outside Los Angeles.
Funke's Hollywood restaurant will offer the same Roman pasta dishes and freshly grilled vegetables that patrons have come to expect in Hollywood. Speaking to the Robb Report, Funke said, "As a caretaker of these culinary histories, it's my duty to tell these stories accurately and authentically."
For a while, Mother Wolf's Fontainebleau location was a source of legal conflict. On July 18, one hospitality group from Hollywood (Relevant) sued another (Ten Five) in the Nevada District Court to prevent Ten Five from taking Mother Wolf to the Fontainebleau. This lawsuit is still ongoing.

Most Photographed Restaurants of the Year
The review website Yelp has published its "Most Photographed Restaurants of the Year" list, and Caesars Palace takes the top two spots in the United States.
Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen tops the list, with pictures of lobster risotto and beef Wellington dominating the Yelp page. The second-place winner is Bacchanal Buffet, one of the only eight buffets left on the Las Vegas Strip, where diners love to snap photos of the snow crab legs.
Las Vegas also holds positions 11 (Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas) and 18 (Catch at Aria).
Yelp ranked the restaurants based on how frequently users submitted photos to the site between January 1, 2022, and June 29, 2023.
Up on the Rooftop
Chéri Rooftop, a new venue, is set to open this fall on a 9,000 square-foot terrace that used to be part of the Château Nightclub at Paris Las Vegas. It will be a perfect spot to watch the Formula Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Located above the Eiffel Tower Restaurant beneath the fake Eiffel Tower, Chéri, along with Alexxa's and Beer Park, will be part of the $5,500 Club Paris race package that includes unlimited drinks, food stations, and live entertainment.
Coming and Going
A $2 million hot pot restaurant is set to open at Resorts World, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The report cites an anonymous source identifying it as the Happy Lamb chain from Mongolia-Baotou.
The Bird Bar at The Flamingo will close to make way for Vanderpump Lounge. This $3.5 million project will follow the Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, which the "Vanderpump Rules" star opened in 2019 and Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas, which she opened in 2022.
In the meantime, the Downtown Cantonese-style barbecue shop Rice Box will close its doors on September 19.
