Create something by hand with skill and care. - Chimney sweeps face a surplus of opportunities compared to the number of available positions.

The guild reported that chimney sweeps in Saxony-Anhalt are facing fewer challenges when it comes to a lack of skilled workers and fresh talents compared to other federal states. Currently, there's no critical shortage, shared Andreas Hampe, the guild's deputy headmaster. The situation in Saxony-Anhalt is relatively better than in other places in Germany.

These days, young chimney sweepers from other states are reaching out to businesses in Saxony-Anhalt with applications, desperate for jobs but finding none in their own regions. This is partly due to the excellent numbers of trainees currently undergoing programs. Moreover, it's not expected that there'll be any disruptions in serving customers.

However, the sad news is that the number of chimney sweeps who no longer have any employees has grown over the years. It appears that many bosses are now taking on the significant portion of the work themselves. Due to this, the Federal Association of the Energy and Water Industry mentioned that the proportion of gas heating systems in Saxony-Anhalt is higher than Germany's national average, especially in residential buildings. Experts believe the industry is in a frenzy, with gas and oil heating systems gradually being phased out. Thus, more requests for energy consultations and checks on heat pumps are expected to flood in.
