BetMGM Unveils Famous Buffalo Games on New Jersey Online Casino

BetMGM recently unveiled the introduction of Aristocrat Leisure's renowned Buffalo slot game on its digital casino platform in New Jersey, marking the first internet casino company to utilize this popular title.

Now, Buffalo slots are accessible to customers in New Jersey with plans to add the games to Michigan and Pennsylvania iGaming platforms soon. BetMGM ranks as one of the leading online casino platforms in the United States.

For more than a decade, the Buffalo slot machine by Aristocrat has garnered widespread popularity among land-based casinos. Aristocrat's online gaming subsidiary, Anaxi, has reinvented the fan favorite for online play. Buffalo is a 20-line 5x4 slot game, where players attempt to win by covering the screen in Buffalo symbols.

BetMGM is a collaboration between MGM Resorts International and Entain Plc.

The Importance of BetMGM's Buffalo Debut

As per an agreement, Aristocrat's Anaxi division will supply gaming content to BetMGM. Established last year as part of Aristocrat's efforts to enhance its iGaming presence, Anaxi is the parent company's separate entity for real money, online gaming.

The launch of Buffalo in New Jersey, and eventually Michigan and Pennsylvania, is significant because iGaming is an industry heavily dependent on content. In the realm of slots, high-margin offerings within the digital gaming space, players yearn for access to the beloved titles they discovered at land-based casinos. Buffalo appeals to BetMGM.

In fact, Buffalo has been a successful attraction at many land-based casinos throughout the US due to its near-95% return to player, low variance, and several winning opportunities beyond the top jackpots.

Despite brick-and-mortar casinos undergoing an upgrade cycle when it comes to slots, the iGaming boom indicates that there's value in the porting of popular slots titles. Several internet casino goers enjoy playing their favorite games online, prompting operators to offer a vast selection of slots.

An Appealing iGaming Landscape

Currently, only six states - Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia - allow online casinos. Nevertheless, this number is anticipated to expand in the coming years as states hunt for fresh income streams.

One factor that can't be overlooked is that iGaming generates greater revenue (and profits) than sports betting. Online casinos entice players because they can gamble from home while chasing considerable jackpots.

"BetMGM's acclaimed online casino offers over 1,500 games and one of the largest state-by-state exclusive jackpot networks. During the first half of 2023, the firm provided nearly $75 million in jackpots and is on track to exceed the $100 million jackpot milestone set in 2022," concluded the operator.
