At Beau Rivage Casino, a deranged murderer sought to "restore" his victim.

A man from Biloxi, Mississippi who brutally stabbed a stranger multiple times, partially dismembered him, and severed his arm was apprehended as he tried to move the victim's lifeless body to the Beau Rivage Casino. The perpetrator reportedly hoped someone there could "put him back together."

Attorney for the accused, Clint Brower, told the Mississippi circuit court that this implied the severe mental distress he experienced during the May 2020 incident when he brutally assaulted Micah Harrison, 41, in an RV Park laundromat.

On Monday, Brower pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was given a life sentence.

Gruesome Assault

Footage from the laundromat's security cameras depicts the horrific event, with the two men conversing momentarily before Brower pulls out a butcher's knife from his bag. He then proceeds to aggressively attack Harrison, a father, amidst shocks and screams.

Brower informed Judge Lisa Dodson on Monday that he believed Harrison to be a threat who intended to inflict harm on him and others. His legal counsel stated that the defendant had experienced significant mental health issues since his teenage years.

Following the brutal assault, Brower headed back to his trailer to change his clothes. Then, he tied a rope around Harrison's body and aimed to transport him to the Beau Rivage Casino, approximately ten miles away. Witnesses promptly alerted police, leading to his apprehension.

Authorities had detained Brower hours prior to the killing due to an active warrant for disorderly conduct. However, he was later freed, prompting a vehicle drive back to the RV park.

Controversy Over Release

Both the family of Brower and Harrison's loved ones have expressed concerns on why police swiftly released him after it was evident that he was experiencing severe mental issues. The police claimed that Brower appeared calm and rational, declaring he didn't seem threatening, as per court documents.

The Harrison family considers Harrison to be a former substance abuser who had managed to get clean and secure a job in construction. According to them, he was fully focused on caring for his daughter, 20. Harrison had recently purchased a camper trailer for his daughter, located alongside his own, in order to have a closer connection.

Brower showed remorse at the sentencing hearing, sharing, "I am truly sorry for what happened," as reported by local TV station WLOX. He added, "I want you to know, it was beyond my control. That's all I can say. I know y'all have grieved for his loss."
