Coming back to St. Pauli: - Zoller's Muckibuden marathon event.
### Zoller's Quest for a Comeback
Zoller attended the championship celebration at the amusement park. No doubt it was a peculiar experience for him. This was his third time holding the title of champion's cycling cap; he had achieved it with Cologne in 2019 and Bochum in 2021.
However, in this season, he hardly made an impact, playing a total of 38 minutes in the second division for St. Pauli. His back and muscle issues were causing him recurring issues. It was a constant battle with a nerve-wracking on and off situation.
St. Pauli hopes that Zoller will bounce back after the summer break. Their sports director, Andreas Bornemann, said, "Obviously, we're planning and expecting that Simon will manage to control his back problem, which has always been a challenge for him. If he can calm and stabilize it in the coming weeks with external rehabilitation treatment."
Could the Muckibuden marathon help?
A fully fit Zoller could be immensely beneficial for St. Pauli in the Bundesliga. After all, he has played 117 games in the top division and scored 17 goals.
His happiness off the field may also aid his recovery. Zoller has been thrilled to become a proud father for close to three months now, sharing images of outings with his newborn on his social media. The family is currently enjoying a mini-vacation at the Dutch North Sea coast.
Interestingly, Zoller also celebrated a personal achievement. He was ecstatic to support his former club VfL Bochum in the relegation match against Düsseldorf (0:3) in the stands. But the joy was heightened by the fact that his Bochumers managed to perform the impossible in the return match.
