Chiarodia and Ullrich's Reports - Young players at Gladbach face the consequences.
Gladbach endured a 4-0 loss against VfB Stuttgart on the 34th and concluding Bundesliga match day. Thankfully, their goalkeeper, Jonas Omlin (30), stepped up to prevent the most drastic defeat of the season.
During the second half, coach Gerardo Seoane (45) put faith in his youngsters, opting to replace Alassane Plea (31) with Lukas Ullrich (20), Fabio Chiarodia (18), and Shio Fukuda (20) as the season came to a close.
Seoane shared his thoughts after the game, stating, "We've integrated many young players this season who will have gained more experience come next season."
As they learned the ropes in Stuttgart, Ullrich and Chiarodia faced challenges. Ullrich, brought on after 66 minutes for the consistent disappointment Plea, was no match for international Deniz Undav (27). Undav repeatedly outclassed him at the touchline, leading to Jeong Woo-jeong scoring a third goal with several clever ball tricks.
Chiarodia attempted to come in for the tired left-back Luca Netz in the 79th minute, but was left stunned as Silas Katompa Mvumpa sealed the victory with the fourth goal. The striker simply darted past the inexperienced Chiarodia and finished without any challenge from the youngster.

Disclaimer: Seoane has indeed provided opportunities for many young players in the Bundesliga.
Furthermore, Eintracht Frankfurt managed to field even more young players who were under 21 at the time of their appearance in the league.
Interestingly, Reitz is missing from these calculations.
Gladbach saw the participation of seven young professionals - but the standout talent of this Bundesliga season, Rocco Reitz (21), was not recognized in this assessment. Reitz celebrated his 21st birthday ahead of the beginning of the season on May 29, 2023.
