Wynn Las Vegas Once Again Ranked as Sin City’s No. 1 Travel and Leisure Hotel
Wynn Las Vegas has been named the Best Hotel in the U.S. Casino Center by Travel + Leisure for the fourth consecutive year. The publication's "Best of" rankings include airports, cities, hotels, resorts and more.
Each year, Travel + Leisure polls readers on one of the most respected questions in the industry. In the "Hotels" category, readers answer questions about room quality, location, service, food and value for money. Readers select an "excellent," "above average," "average," "below average" or "poor" rating for each hotel feature listed above.
The Wynn Hotel came out on top in Las Vegas with a score of 92.75 out of 100, 1.35 points ahead of the downtown Waldorf Astoria. New amenities and entertainment options have contributed to Wynn’s recent rankings.
"This year, for the first time in Las Vegas, Wynn presents Awakening, a one-and-only spectacle featuring acrobatics, soaring and high-energy dancing in the technologically immersive Awakening Theatre," a statement said. “The resort also launched Wynn Living Well, a curated program of health and wellness experiences. Focusing on three pillars – Renew, Renew and Rejuvenate – guests can enjoy a range of tailored experiences while traveling. Healthy Choices.”
Travel + Leisure readers described Wynn's service as "excellent" and the venue's rooms as "elegant." One customer claimed that the hotel's spa was the best experience of her life. Wynn's sister hotel, Encore Las Vegas, ranked sixth.
Awards for Wynn
Travel guide awards are nothing new to Wynn. Earlier this year, the operator received a further 24 five-star awards in the 2023 edition of Forbes Travel Guide (FTG).
The awards include the company's two venues in Las Vegas, as well as Encore Boston Harbor, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. Wynn Las Vegas, Encore Las Vegas and Wynn Palace are the three largest FTG five-star hotels in the world.
Wynn's next new location will be Wynn Al Marian Island in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Scheduled to open in early 2027, the hotel will be the Arab world's first casino resort, but the operator will, as usual, rely on quality accommodation, dining and entertainment rather than gambling to attract customers.
The Las Vegas-based company is also said to be a top candidate for a New York City-area casino license. If approved, the venue will likely offer all the glitz associated with existing Wynn properties.
MGM Travel and Leisure List Winner
Of the top 10 venues in Travel + Leisure Las Vegas, six are operated by MGM Resorts International or are located at properties it controls. The exceptions are the Wynn and Encore hotels, the Waldorf Astoria and the Venetian Las Vegas, which ranks fifth.
The highest-rated MGM property is the operator’s newest property, The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. This casino hotel was ranked third among Travel + Leisure readers. The MGM-operated Four Seasons Mandalay Bay ranked fourth.
Bellagio, Aria, Vdara and Park MGM, all operated by MGM, ranked seventh to tenth.
